Violent Heist at Bulawayo Liquor Warehouse Leaves Workers Injured

A liquor wholesale warehouse in Bulawayo’s Kelvin North Industrial Area became the scene of terror on Tuesday night when seven armed men launched a brazen robbery.

At approximately 8:30 PM, the masked intruders climbed over the perimeter wall, initiating their attack by targeting the main gate’s security guard.

In an attempt to escape, the guard suffered a brutal blow to the head from an unknown object, leaving him severely injured and defenseless.

The assailants moved swiftly into the warehouse, confronting a general employee who also fell victim to their violent assault.

Once inside, the robbers fired gunshots, creating chaos and instilling fear among the workers who were ordered to lie on the ground.

The ordeal escalated as the gang looted US$521, R200, and a satchel filled with whiskey bottles, exiting through the dispatch entrance.

Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, deputy spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Bulawayo Province, confirmed the details of the robbery.
